PRESS RELEASE: Smallholders training as a way to know other forestry realities and to improve forest management (19 March 2019)

Usually, owners of small forest properties have approached the management of their territories in a traditional way based on the customs of the area, and on what they have seen their ancestors do. The FOREST-IN project, an initiative funded by the European Erasmus+ programme, has identified the need for more technical training for these forest owners to improve their land management.

PRESS RELEASE: Great acceptance of the first training course of the Erasmus+ FOREST-IN project (26 October 2018)

More than 30 people participated last week in the first training course of the FOREST-IN project, which was carried out in the Portuguese town of Albergaria-a-Velha in the facilities of UNIMADEIRAS (entity member of this Erasmus+ project) and in several places of the forest region in which it is located.

During these days is being held in Lousã (Portugal) the International Forum Healthy Forest, benefits for all, which has been organized by the European project INovative and Educational INformation for the Sustainable FOREST Management by Smallholders (FOREST-IN), of which are partners various organizations and institutions from Spain, France and Portugal, with the University of Aveiro as coordinator of this transnational initiative.
